I had the pleasure of sailing with this cute pup on Martha’s Vineyard, one of the destinations to be featured in my upcoming National Geographic book on the 75 best places to vacation with a dog in the U.S. and Canada. Always remember to strap a personal flotation device on your dog. While many dogs are good swimmers, others lack confidence in the water or they may tire or panic away from shore. Pet safety is important!
