The Jet Set Pets were on the scene for the second installment of Yappy Hour Season 2 at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. Our mascot Lucy was among the hundreds of dogs that accompanied their guardians at the monthly cocktail party gathering held the first Thursday of every month on The Dana Lawn of the pet-friendly hotel in Laguna Niguel, Calif.
Pampered pooches sniffed and schmoozed with other cute canines as their pet guardians sipped Mutt Lynch Wines by the glass that included:
- Unleashed Chardonnay
- Merlot Over and Play Dead
- Chateau D’og Cab Sauvignon
No wine for the dogs, of course, but they did enjoy lapping up their own libations, thanks to water in their favorite flavor — bacon, chicken, cheese, beef or liver.
Canines are always complimentary at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel Yappy Hour, where no-host cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are available for their companions.A portion of the proceeds from all of The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Yappy Hours are donated to a local animal rescue organization.
The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel Yappy Hour isn’t just a place for pet parents and their posh pals to socialize but also a resource for pet lovers. Author Maggie Espinoza sold autographed copies of her hit book The Privileged Pooch while talented artist Debby Carman, who created the whimsical pet feeding bowls used by The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and the Yappy Hour poster below, showed off her creations. Representatives from Camp Bow Wow and Dr. Jill Goldman, a certified applied animal behaviorist, were also on hand.
