SuperZoo, the annual pet trade show, got just a little better for precious me this year. Why, you ask? Well, my mommy finally snagged me that stroller I’ve been deserving for so long. All it took was her asking a nice lady at Pet Gear if she could borrow a stroller for a few days and voila! A snazzy pink stroller was gifted to us. At last.
Last year, it seemed like everybody except me was being pushed around like queens and kings, when we all know I’m the true queen. And now I can proudly say that my perfect paws barely touched the sizzling Las Vegas ground as I was chauffeured in the manner to which I think I’m accustomed. Can you believe it was ever any other way?
I know some pet parents worry about their babies jumping out of strollers, but my mommy knows she doesn’t have to worry about that. A stroller is just so me, and I wouldn’t travel any other way if it was up to me. And with this new PetGear stroller, there’s no zipper so it’s easy for pet parents to get their fur babies in and out. Now I just have to convince my pawrent that it’s time to stop making me walk the sloping San Francisco streets and start pushing me through hilly Pacific Heights.
While my comfort at the trade show was taken care of by my bed-on-wheels, at night I got to put my paws up in a preview suite at the Delano Las Vegas, which is transitioning from being THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, always a favorite of mommy and me. How fitting that I can now count myself among the first pooch princesses at The Delano, set to open in September. A plate of dog bones nearly as big as me was delivered to my suite. But I opted for the tiny gift wrapped bones given to me at the front desk.
Finally, the royal treatment. And to make my stay even more magnificent, I got to see my old friend Michelle Love, the concierge, at the VIP check-in (yes, VIP does stand for Very Important Princess). She remembered me from our stroll together a few years ago. I mean, how could she forget me? The good humans at Pet World Insider certainly didn’t. As soon as they saw me, they wanted a photo. Of course I obliged — and even let my mommy in the photo.

I also met entrepreneur extraordinaire Daymond John from the ABC hit show Shark Tank. He has two Dachshunds, Blake and Spartan, but I’m sure I saw him give me a wink. And I got to cuddle with Amy Newmark, the editor-in-chief/author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, which has heartwarming and hilarious books with tails (get it, tails!!) about dogs and cats coming out any day now. I felt like a star when I shot a Sleepypod video. I can’t wait to share that with you down the road.
You should have seen all of the attention showered on me when I stopped by the Shake Dog Potty booth. It’s a porta-potty for pups! How clever — and comfy too. My taste buds were tickled by Great Jack’s liver treats made with real cranberry. Under 1.5 calories each, I can still maintain my girlish figure.
And on display at SuperZoo 2014 was the August issue of Cesar Millan’s magazine Cesar’s Way, where on the cover I’m referred to as the “World’s Best-Traveled Dog” and inside there’s a bylined article by moi and oodles of pretty pictures of me traveling.
In all, this was a trip for the books. Now if I can just get people to treat me this way all the time. We all know I deserve it. Smooches!
