Russia Pet Entry Regulations make it easy to bring cats and dogs into the Russian Federation. There is no quarantine or import permit. Healthy pets who meet the following requirements are admitted:
- Proof of rabies vaccination within the 30 days but no more than 12 months prior to arrival
- A health certificate for Russia stating that your pet is healthy
If arriving via air, you must clear customs with your pet at either of the two Moscow airports. St. Petersburg and other airports in Russia do not have customs clearance facilities for pets.
Pet parents can bring up to 2 dogs or cats. You must pay to register your pet at the airport veterinary office, which will allow you to enter the Russian Federation and travel throughout the Federation with your furry companion.
