Carter. The book will be released in spring 2014 but don’t wait until then to visit Nantucket. Ferries and airlines are pet-friendly, Nantucket’s beaches are amazing and the island is ideal for walks with your pooch, or cat as more people are doing these days.
The Cottages & Lofts is a short stroll from the ferry docks and Children’s Beach and offers a complimentary pet-friendly beach bus to transport you and your four-legged pal to the beach. Some of the beaches have restricted hours during the summer while others offer pooches year-round access when on leash. The Cottages & Lofts also provides complimentary beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. All you have to do is bring your dog.
